Luna et Stellae

Tonight is the release of my Luna et Stellae box!

It’s a collection that has been inspired by the moon and stars (as the title suggests ūüėČ ) , which have always been such a great source of wonder and almost a touchstone in my life. It’s something I always return to, gazing up into the depths of the night sky.

In the box, is a tin of Luna et Stellae tea. It’s a blend of green and oolong teas, with hibiscus, jasmine, and cornflower. The flavour notes are a heady swirl of jasmine, strawberry, and caramel. Each tin contains enough tea for 60 servings, and this tea won’t appear again in the shop unless I release another limited run.

Then is the stunning stars and moons windchime made of white onyx. I absolutely adore the one I have hanging up in my window, the tinkling would truly make for a wonderful soundtrack to looking up at the stars.

For each box, I painted a unique moon and stars piece. A silver moon that contains a nebula, golden stars surround it upon a textured, deep blue background.

And finally is my current favourite tea infuser. It’s a mesh basket that can hold a serious amount of tea. I wouldn’t be surprised if it worked quite well in most teapots.

I’m so excited to be putting something new together in the shop, and I’m already planning the next box. I just love the ability to dream up a vision/feeling of something, and have it come to life with curated items. It’s magick, truly! And it’s even more magickal that I can share that with others as well!

This group of tea has definitely been a lesson in the fact that knowing when I’m going to be done formulating is not always very predictable! I had been hoping to finish them by the end of April, in fact I had 9 or 10 of them finished! However, a few teas were just not working out for me, flavours weren’t turning out how I wanted them, and then reformulation had to happen.
It’s also a lesson that sometimes flavours that work in baked goods, or food that we actually eat doesn’t translate very well with the ingredients I have for tea. And that’s ok, because now I know!

Iced Teas!

They’re back! And already I’ve been sipping on them, muahaha! And now you get to as well! Wee!

Top Left: Black Lemon, Tart Berry, Tropical Ambrosia, Strawberry Mojito, Gingered Peach, Midnight Mango, Magical Melon (centre)

I’ve also been a busy bee thinking up new recipes that I will be getting up in the shop soon! In the meantime, there are a few reformulated blends back up as well!

Thor‘s blend now is a lovely mix of spearmint and peppermint with a little sprinkling of safflower.

Sweetroll has a base of black tea and calendula petals, and the delicious flavours of buttery pastry and creamy, sticky, gooey icing. So much yum!

And lastly for today, Second Breakfast Tea is back! It’s a traditional robust and malty English Breakfast tea blend, and so very comforting as you wake up and get ready to go on your next adventure!

Happy sipping, guys! ‚̧

Frigg Tea is Now Up!

Frigg

I told you there was a Frigg tea coming! The apples dried, and I was able to blend this delicious tea up last night. Unfortunately, picture taking must happen during the day for the best lighting, but here it is now!

This tea is like a garden in a cup! Frigg’s garden, to be exact. With an earthy green tea base, roses, lavender and jasmine create a lovely and delicate floral flavour and scent. Clove spiced apples are near at hand for a delicious snack as you peruse the Her gardens.

Enjoy the tea while you do your housework or craft, or share a cup with Her, and you can never go wrong with simply making a cup for Her as an offering!

Each bag makes about 20 cups (which is why each different tea blend comes in differently weighted bags dependent on the ingredients). Use one teaspoon per 8 oz of boiling water (more or less depending how strong you enjoy your tea), and voila! A garden in a cup!

Pop on by the¬†mythological¬†collection to check out¬†Frigg’s tea, and stay tuned, because ingredients have been gotten to make a delicious Yuletide tea or two!
