October Teas

I know, I know! I said I wouldn’t release any more teas this year, well, I lied apparently lol. I also know it’s still only October, however, when it comes to buying handmade gifts online for the holidays, it’s always best to start early! If you want to make sure your teas arrive in time (not 100% guaranteed as once a package is in the mail, I’ve no more control), please order by December 5th.

I just had some more Yuletide flavour ideas, and needed to get them out so I could have an excuse to make and have some for myself!

Chocolate Orange, Hygge, Mrs Claus’ Kitchen, and Krampus

Along with the usual Yuletide teas of Peppermint Lane, Elven Nog, Midwinter Madras, and Yule, we now have four brand new blends!

Chocolate Orange is the classic holiday treat in a teacup. Green rooibos, Belgian milk chocolate, safflower, and citrus blossom flavour.

Hygge blends rooibos and black tea together forming a wonderful base for Belgian milk chocolate, and almond flavour.

Mrs Claus’ Kitchen is a chocolate truffle in a cup. Blended with rooibos, Belgian milk chocolate, coconut, and hazelnut flavour.

Krampus might be a good idea as an offering if you’ve been especially naughty this year! Smoky Lapsang Souchong black tea is blended with cinnamon and clove.

September Teas

This will be the last official new tea release of the year since the crazy holiday season is coming! Don’t worry, the Yule teas will be going live sometime in October, so you’ll definitely be able to enjoy them during those cozy winter months!

But for now… without further ado…

Brand new teas for Sabrina the Teenage Witch, for Sabrina herself, and her Aunts Hilda and Zelda!

Sabrina’s blend is a tart mulled cider in a honey bush tea base.

Aunt Hilda’s is a delectable banana bread with a chocolate-hazelnut swirled centre in a chocolatey oolong tea.

Aunt Zelda’s blend is a mix of elderberries and cherries in a strong black tea base.

Next is the release of my Hocus Pocus, or Sanderson Sisters blends! You may recognize these from last year’s collaborative box I did with a gorgeous pendant by Rebecca of Epiphany Tresors and Sam of Moss Realm. There are 3 boxes available in the shop, if you’d love to get yourself one of these limited and wonderful gifts! It also includes my teas for the three sisters!

But if you’re just in the mood for a simple cup of tea, you can find the Sanderson Sisters blends here.

Winnie’s blend is a spiced green rooibos chai, plenty of ginger and cinnamon, with a hint of white pepper.

Mary’s is a dessert in a cup of apple and cherry crisp in black tea.

Sarah’s is an enchanting blend of peach and blackberry in a cup of honey bush tea.

This group of tea has definitely been a lesson in the fact that knowing when I’m going to be done formulating is not always very predictable! I had been hoping to finish them by the end of April, in fact I had 9 or 10 of them finished! However, a few teas were just not working out for me, flavours weren’t turning out how I wanted them, and then reformulation had to happen.
It’s also a lesson that sometimes flavours that work in baked goods, or food that we actually eat doesn’t translate very well with the ingredients I have for tea. And that’s ok, because now I know!

Iced Teas!

They’re back! And already I’ve been sipping on them, muahaha! And now you get to as well! Wee!

Top Left: Black Lemon, Tart Berry, Tropical Ambrosia, Strawberry Mojito, Gingered Peach, Midnight Mango, Magical Melon (centre)

I’ve also been a busy bee thinking up new recipes that I will be getting up in the shop soon! In the meantime, there are a few reformulated blends back up as well!

Thor‘s blend now is a lovely mix of spearmint and peppermint with a little sprinkling of safflower.

Sweetroll has a base of black tea and calendula petals, and the delicious flavours of buttery pastry and creamy, sticky, gooey icing. So much yum!

And lastly for today, Second Breakfast Tea is back! It’s a traditional robust and malty English Breakfast tea blend, and so very comforting as you wake up and get ready to go on your next adventure!

Happy sipping, guys! ❤

Yay! Some Autumn Teas!

In case you missed it, September’s newsletter went out last week (which you can find here and sign up if you like!). And in it, I revealed three new teas for the cooler weather that is (hopefully) coming!

dsc01616

Inspired by cool evenings at the fair and the sweetest treats, a blend of black tea, almonds, pistachios, hazelnuts, pecans, and peanuts. But that’s not all, they’re covered in a light and decadent dusting of sweetest maple sugar.

You can find Maple Roasted Nuts here.

Beware the Evil Queen’s apples, lest you fall prey to their ill effects, such as wanting more tea!

A fantastic tea that tastes just like apple crisp. Honeybush tea provides a warm, fruity base for a simple blend of apples, cinnamon, and oats, mixed with a goodly amount of brown sugar, of course!

Poison Apple Crisp tea is to be found here.

You must hurry before the carriage turns back into a tiny pumpkin, so come on and sip awhile until the bell tolls the midnight hour!

A delicious pumpkin spiced chai, you’ll start with a base of a deep and dark black tea, then nutmeg, ginger, clove, and cinnamon will warm you inside and out. Finishes with a delightfully familiar creamy dollop bringing out that pumpkin flavour, whilst apples and pumpkin seeds remind you of the harvest season.

This delightful Pumpkin Carriage tea can be found here.

I hope you enjoy having a gander at the new delicious teas! I know I’m enjoying drinking them (the best part about being a tea-maker!).

Thanks to Beth for commissioning this tea, because it is quite complex and tasty!

Step out onto the battlefield with the Morrigan at your side.

Sweet cherries fill your nose as the earth is crushed beneath your feet, deep and green with juniper berries, warmed by fragrant white pepper. At the end of the sip, a mixture of rose-laced mead lingers.

Queen Maeve Tea

Queen Maeve.jpg

A deep and mysterious cup, don’t let it’s light appearance fool you.

A robust black tea base that lends itself well to the fruits of this tea. Elderberries, raspberries, rosehips and hibiscus are blended with a twist of orange, whilst lavender lends a hint of woody herb to ground the tea. You’ll notice a mead-like flavour as you sip this cup.

Many thanks to Julie for helping me create this offering tea blend for Queen Maeve, Who loves fragrant, beautiful and exotic things.
